TOWN OF CLARENCE, N.Y. (WKBW) - Police are asking for the public's help in locating a vehicle involved with a hit and run accident in the Town of Clarence.

Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports that three persons were injured following the accident in the parking lot of Walmart on Transit Road.

Sheriffs responded to the complaint after receiving a call that two pedestrians were struck by a vehicle. The two minors received minor injuries and a third party who tried to stop the vehicle, described as being possibly a purple Chevy Beretta or Pontiac Grand Prix, fell from the vehicle as it was moving. That person received some injuries (non-life threatening) and was taken to ECMC for treatment.

The vehicle in question left northbound on Transit Rd. and was being operated by a female with blond hair. Patrols were unable to locate the vehicle.

At this time, Sheriffs are asking anyone who may have witnessed this accident and have any further information to contact the Erie County Sheriff’s Office at (716) 858-2903.
