Buffalo police have arrested an individual in connection with two attempted church break-ins.
Ferry-Fillmore officers arrested 46 year old Mitchell S. Goodson of Buffalo and charged him with the two incidents that apparently occurred just minutes apart.
Police say just after 9pm Monday night, Goodson attempted to break into the Evangelistic Temple, located at 701 Broadway, by kicking in a window.
Minutes later, Goodson attempted to break into the Emmanuel Temple SDA, located at 300 Adams Street.
Officers were responding to an alarm call when they arrived on scene and witnesses gave them a description of the suspect.
Officers Jonathan Pietrzak and Michael Toy apprehended the suspect a short time later.
Police say Goodson attempted to break into the church on Adams Street by using a hammer.
Goodson is charged with: two counts of Attempted Burglary in the 3rd Degree, Criminal Mischief, Possession of Burglar's Tools, Resisting Arrest and Obstruction of Governmental Administration.
