WARSAW, NY (WKBW/Release) - On September 8th, 2012 New York State Police in Warsaw responded to a report of a one vehicle roll over accident on Taylor Road in the Town of Covington.

Troopers arrived to find the vehicle unoccupied, but quickly determined that a female and a small child had fled the scene.

Further investigation led troopers to the location of the driver at a residence nearby on Morrow Road.

The vehicle had been operated by Angela A. Kruse, 40-years-old, of Pavilion, NY. She was on Taylor Road when she lost control of the van she was operating.

The van went off the highway and overturned in a ditch before it came to rest. Kruse and her 5-year-old daughter were able to escape the accident with minor injuries.

Mercy Ambulance later transported Kruse and her daughter to Wyoming County Community Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Investigation led to the arrest of Kruse for Felony Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated (Leandra's Law) and Moving from Lane Unsafely.

Upon her release from the hospital, where she submitted to a blood test to determine her BAC, she was processed at the Warsaw Station. She was later arraigned before the Covington Town Justice Karl Smith where she was then remanded to Wyoming County Jail after failing to post $15,000.00 bail.

This is the second arrest of Kruse for Leandra's Law since June of 2012. Troopers had located and arrested Kruse in the Village of Leroy in June following a civilian complaint.

That charge is still pending in Genesee County Court.
