Officer Injured While Responding to Call in North Buffalo

BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) - An officer is reportedly hurt while responding to a call in a North Buffalo neighborhood.

Police were dispatched in North Buffalo around 2 A.M. to the 300 block of Norway Avenue, after reports of a home invasion that left an officer injured.

Eyewitness News has found out from police that the officer is not in serious condition and has a minor hand injury as he was taken to ECMC.

Police spent the overnight hours at the scene combing it for evidence. They recovered several weapons at the scene and investigators found trails of blood.

One of the suspects was apprehended by a Northwest district officer following a short chase. Charges are being finalized at this time.

Police are looking for two males, last seen driving a black cavalier. Anyone who may have witnessed the crime or has information is asked to call the Buffalo police confidential tip-line at 716-847-2255.
