Motorcycle Trooper Struck by Allegedly Intoxicated Driver

Town of Lewiston, N.Y. (WKBW release) -- A New York State Motorcycle Trooper was uninjured after being struck by an allegedly intoxicated driver Tuesday evening.

Trooper Arthur Pittman was traveling northbound on Interstate 190 in the Town of Lewiston when he was sideswiped by a 2006 Mazda driven by 27-year-old Christopher R. Schutlz of Buffalo.

Schultz was arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Drugs, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, Unsafe Lane Change and Failing to Signal Lane Change.

A 27-year-old passenger in the vehicle, Justin P. Fleishman, was also arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana.
