NIAGARA FALLS, NY (WKBW) - The very latest now on the murder of a woman who's body was chopped into pieces in Niagara Falls.

This story really has the entire area on edge. There's a killer somewhere out there, but despite a 24-7 investigation there are no signs as to who it maybe.

As mentioned, yesterday police discovered more remains in Hyde Park Lake. A partial arm and hand were found, belonging to 30-year-old Loretta Gates, who's torso was found close to two weeks ago in the Niagara River.

Police spent much of the day at Hyde Park, looking for evidence, as the woman's family arrived upon hearing the news. The mother of three went missing on August 25th.

Police used fingerprints to positively ID the remains found yesterday.

On Friday a partial arm and leg were found near the Whirlpool Rapids. DNA testing on those items should be available in a few days, according to niagara regional police in Canada.

Police in Niagara Falls are asking anyone with information on the death of Loretta Gates to call them at (716)-286-4553.
