Man in Jail for Allegedly Stealing Five Cans of Pop from Local Business

LEON, N.Y. (WKBW) - A Leon man is in jail on $2,000 bail after allegedly breaking into a Cattaraugus County business and stealing five cans of pop early Wednesday morning.

Sheriffs say 18-year-old Mahlon Gingrich was arrested for Burglary and Petit Larceny after allegedly breaking into the Adams Lumber Mill in Leon.

Gingrich was arraigned in the Town of Conewango Court and sent to Cattaraugus County Jail in lieu of $2,000 bail.

Gingrich is scheduled to appear in the Town of Leon Court at a later date.
