LOCKPORT, N.Y. (WKBW) - A Town of Lockport man was arrested in connection to a car larceny in the area of Lockwood Lane and Forestview Drive early Tuesday morning.

Niagara County Sheriff Deputies arrested 27-year-old Dino Sanford.

Sheriff Deputies responded to a 911 call on Lockwood Lane, where Sanford was reportedly inside a resident's vehicle in the driveway.

The woman said Sanford ran from her residence when she let her dog out. When deputies arrived, they located footprints in the snow and tracked him down on Tonawanda Creek Road.

Sanford is charged with Petit Larceny. Sheriff Deputies recovered cash, medication, and other personal items from Sanford's possession.

The area of Lockwood Lane and Forestview Drive in the Town of Lockport have been the target of several car break-ins for the past year.

Sheriff Deputies are urging residents to bring valuables in their house and lock their car doors at all times.
