Jamestown Man Behind Bars For Attempting to Flee From Police

JAMESTOWN, N.Y. (WKBW) - A Jamestown man was arrested early Sunday morning after fleeing from police multiple times.

Police say around 3:10 a.m., they were dispatched to a Cherry Street home where 30-year-old Randall Langworthy was violating an order of protection with an outstanding warrant.

Langworhy was reportedly knocking on the door of the residence of the person protected in the order. As officers tried to speak to him, he fled from them on foot and was not able to be located.

Later in the morning, around 5:30 a.m. Langworthy was spotted by police. When officers advised him he was under arrest, He once again tried to flee. He was quickly subdued and what taken into custody.

Langworthy was placed under arrest for second degree Criminal Contempt, Resisting Arrest, and Obstructing Governmental Administration. He was transported to City of Jamestown Jail where he is being held for arraignment.
