DUNKIRK, NY (WKBW) Officers with the Dunkirk Police Department have arrested 27 year-old Brandon C. Washington on charges stemming from a shooting on Thursday.
Washington was arraigned early Saturday morning on charges of 2nd degree assault and criminal possession of a weapon.
Officers say Washington shot a man in the leg on Thursday on South Main Street in Dunkirk. A warrant was issued for his arrest, and Washington evaded custody until 3:30 a.m. Saturday.
Washington is being held in Chautauqua County Jail on $50,000 cash bail.
