BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) - 25-year-old Matthew Ruckdaschel says he was drunk behind the wheel when he drove the wrong way on the 33 back in January 2011. That's when he then struck another car, head-on near Best Street.

The impact of the head on crash killed 37-year-old Orlando Anderson of Buffalo and his passenger and cousin from Ohio, Thomas Johnson.

The Crash left Ruckdashel in critical condition at ECMC at the time.

Witnesses to the crash desperately tried to alert Ruckdaschel and stop him from going the wrong way, including veteran taxi cab driver Brian Farmel.

Farmel captured cell phone video shortly after the crash of the scene and claims Ruckdashel was going about 80-miles an hour before the crash.

Ruckdaschel will appear in court later today for his sentencing in this crime, where he faces up to 25 years in prison.

Eyewitness News will be inside the courtroom and will bring you the very latest details later on Eyewitness News at Noon.
