Buffalo, NY (WKBW) An Erie County employee was arrested Wednesday morning, accused of cocaine possession and theft.
A sheriff's deputy pulled over Randy Rettig Wednesday, suspecting Rettig was driving while under the influence of drugs. The deputy searched Rettig's vehicle, allegedly finding county property and cocaine.
Deputies arrested Rettig, charging him with petit larceny, possession of stolen property, and criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Rettig was immediately placed on administrative leave from the Department of Information and Support Services, where he works as a senior computer programmer.
Rettig is being held in the Erie County Holding Center.
