CLYMER, NY (WKBW) - In this small town, where horse and buggy sightings are a daily occurrence, there is still a great deal of grief and disbelief over the violent death of 51-year-old Keith Reed.
The Clymer School Superintendent was found shot to death. Chautauqua County Sheriff's Deputies found his body near his home on Monday morning.
"It's hard to believe that this happened in our town. It's been a sad, sad time," said lifelong Clymer resident Jim Lictus.
Nearly 300 people attended a prayer service for Reed Wednesday night at the Clymer United Methodist Church.
"It's definitely something that's rocked Clymer," said church spokesperson Chassity Neckers. "It's definitely something that doesn't happen here."
Sheriff's investigators remained at Reed's home, three days after his body was found, combing the scene for evidence. His killer remains at large.
