CLARENCE, N.Y. ( NYS Police ) On April 14, 2012, Clarence State Police Members arrested Richard J. Ricci, 58, of Buffalo, NY for Felony Driving While Intoxicated, Felony Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 1st & Reckless Endangerment 2nd, along with numerous Vehicle and Traffic charges. Ricci was traveling in the wrong lane on the west bound Sheridan Dr. ramp from Transit Rd., south. Troopers attempted to pull the vehicle over but Ricci failed to comply. The pursuit was approximately 2 miles, traveling south on Transit Rd. and west on Main St. when he turned onto North Hampton Hill Rd., a dead end, where he was taken into custody without incident. Mr. Ricci failed numerous field sobriety tests and was subsequently taken into custody. He was processed at the SP Clarence station where he refused to submit to a breath test. Due to a previous conviction for DWI within the past 10 years Ricci was charged with felony DWI. He currently being held awaiting arraignment in the A.M. at Amherst Town Court.

On April 15, 2012, Clarence State Police Members arrested Louis A. Guerico Jr., 31, of Buffalo, NY for 2 counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance7th and Failing to have Prescription Medication in its Original Container. Guerico was stopped for failing to use designated lane while traveling on Transit Rd. in the Town of Amherst. Investigation at the scene revealed that Guerico was in possession of 8 Alprazolam tablets and 2 Carisoprodol tablets. He was processed at the SP Clarence station and issued an appearance ticket returnable 4/19/12 in the Town of Amherst Court. Guerico was transported and turned over to the Cheektowaga Police Department due to the fact a file check revealed that he had an active bench warrant for Petit Larceny.

On April 15, 2012, Krystina M. Syracuse, 30, of Lancaster, NY was stopped for failing to use designated lane while traveling on Broadway Rd. in the Town of Lancaster. Investigation at the scene revealed that Syracuse had been drinking and under the influence of alcohol. She was transported to the SP Alden Station where she was processed and refused a breath test. Syracuse was released to appear in the Town of Lancaster court on 5/10/12.

On April 15, 2012, Christopher D. Haag, 31, of Boston, NY was observed passed out in his vehicle with his headlights on while parked on Feddick Rd. in the Town of Boston. Investigation at the scene revealed that he had been drinking and under the influence of alcohol. He was transported to the SP Boston Station where he was processed and recorded a .17% BAC, and additionally charged with refusing to submit to a breath screening device. Haag was released to appear in the Town of Boston Court on 4/23/12.
