Dunkirk, NY (WKBW) Dunkirk police have arrested 42-year-old Myra Murphy after an investigation into stolen funds at Good Hope Baptist Church.

Murphy was working as a secretary for the Eagle Street church when police allege she started taking money while on the job. She is charged with third-degree grand larceny.

Officers have not disclosed the amount stolen from Good Hope Baptist Church, but a suspect can be indicted on a third-degree grand larceny charge when the value of the property stolen exceeds $3,000.

Murphy turned herself in and was arraigned at Chautauqua County Court. She was released under supervision of probation and the investigation is ongoing.
