Little Valley, N.Y. (WKBW release) -- Cattaraugus County District Attorney Lori Pettit Rieman on Monday announced the following activity in Cattaraugus County Court.

Barry Armprester, 44, of Olean, was sentenced to a determinate term of one year in the New York State Department of Corrections followed by one year of post-release supervision for his conviction of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the Fifth Degree, a class D felony. The incident occurred on or about September 19, 2009, in the City of Olean, when the defendant knowingly and unlawfully sold a controlled substance.

Samantha Conner, 21, of Olean, was arraigned and entered a plea of not guilty to an indictment that charges her, along with a co-defendant with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fifth Degree, a class D felony; and Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the Fourth Degree, a class C felony. The incident occurred on or about December 22, 2010, in the City of Olean, the defendant, along with a co-defendant possessed and sold methadone. The matter has been adjourned for motions.

Richard D. Farnham, Jr., 32, of Salamanca, but presently incarcerated in the Cattaraugus County Jail, was arraigned and entered a plea of not guilty to an indictment that charges him with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fifth Degree and Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the Fifth Degree, both class D felonies. The incident occurred on or about September 20, 2010, in the City of Salamanca, when the defendant possessed and sold a controlled substance. The matter has been adjourned for motions.

Alexa R. Knoxsah, 21, of Salamanca, but presently incarcerated in the Taconic Correctional Facility, waived prosecution by indictment and entered a plea of guilty by Superior Court Information to two counts of Burglary in the Third Degree, class D felonies. The incidents occurred on or about November 15, 2010, in the Town of Great Valley and between November 9th and 10th , 2010, in the City of Salamanca, when the defendant knowingly entered or remained unlawfully in a building with intent to commit a crime therein. Sentencing is scheduled for September 19, 2011.

Bryon L. McCants, 41, of Great Valley, waived prosecution by indictment and entered a plea by Superior Court Information to Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated, a class E felony. The incident occurred on or about April 17, 2011, in the Town of Great Valley, when the defendant operated a motor vehicle in an intoxicated condition, having a .15% BAC and at a time he had a child who was 15 years old or less in the vehicle. Sentencing is scheduled for August 15, 2011

Derrick T. Prezyna, 22, of Attica, but presently incarcerated in the Wyoming County Jail, was sentenced as a Predicate Felon to 2-4 years and 1½ -3 years for his convictions of Burglary in the Third Degree, a class D felony, and Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree, a class E felony. The incidents occurred Between September 17, 2010 and December 2, 2010, in the Town of Portville, when he knowingly entered or remained unlawfully in a building with intent to commit a crime therein and stole property valued in excess of one thousand dollars.

Teto T. Teasley, 25, of Olean, New York, but presently incarcerated in the New York State Department of Corrections, entered a plea of guilty to Bail Jumping in the Second Degree, a class E felony, to satisfy a pending indictment, and was sentenced to a term of 1-3 years, concurrent to the term he is now serving. He will also be required to reimburse the District Attorney’s Office for the extradition expenses. The incident occurred between July 12, 2010 and February 15, 2011, after having posted bail on a pending felony, he defendant failed to appear in court on a required date or voluntarily within thirty days thereafter.

Ronald J. Kuhaneck, 41 of Little Valley, New York, entered a plea of guilty to Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the First Degree, a class E felony and Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated, a misdemeanor. The incident occurred on or about August 12, 2010, in the Village of Little Valley, when the defendant operated a motor vehicle on a public highway when he knew or had reason to know that his license or privilege to operate a motor vehicle in New York State was revoked because of an alcoholic related offense and at a time when he had a .27% BAC. Sentencing is scheduled for September 19, 2011.

Chris S. Marshall-Sadler, 46, of Friendship, New York, waived prosecution by indictment and entered a plea of guilty by Superior Court Information to Driving While Intoxicated, a class E felony; and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the Second Degree, a misdemeanor. The incident occurred on or about February 28, 2011, in the City of Olean, when the defendant operated a motor vehicle in an intoxicated condition and at a time when his license was suspended or revoked as a result of a prior alcohol offense. Sentencing is scheduled for September 19, 2011.

Daniel L. Whiting, 35, of Yorkshire, New York, waived prosecution by indictment and entered a plea of guilty by Superior Court Information to Welfare Fraud in the Fifth Degree. The incident occurred between February 2010 and July 2010, in the city of Olean, when the defendant committed a fraudulent welfare act and took or obtained public assistance benefits. Sentencing is scheduled for August 15, 2011.
