Buffalo Man Pleads Guilty to Hitting Estranged Wife With Pool Cue

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) - A Buffalo man pleaded guilty to Criminal Contempt in the first degree in Supreme Court Thursday morning.

50-year-old Muhummad Alazim admitted that on February 4, 2012, he was found inside his estranged wife's home while an Order of Protection was in place prohibiting him from contacting her.

It was revealed Alazim struck his estranged wife with a pool cue.

Alazim has eleven prior criminal convictions, including violent felony convictions for Attempted Robbery and Attempted Assault. He was also convicted on two previous occasions for domestic violence offenses and has a demonstrated history of ignoring a violating court orders of protection.

Alazim will be sentenced on August 14th and faces a maximum sentence of four years is prison.
