BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) - A Hamburg man has been arrested a man who intentionally struck a pedestrian with his vehicle Tuesday after the two were apparently arguing.

Police say the incident happened at 12:30 p.m. on Ellicott Street near the Erie County Public Library. Police arrested 31-year-old Christopher Boyer of Hamburg and charged him with Vehicular Assault, Driving under the influence of drugs, and a number of traffic violations including leaving the scene of an injury accident.

Police say Boyer intentionally struck the pedestrian with his vehicle following an apparent dispute over drugs. According to investigators, Boyer fled the scene but crashed his vehicle a short time later at Church Street and Delaware Avenue.

The 34 year old male pedestrian of Williamsville was taken to ECMC where he's listed in critical condition.
