Barbara Creighton to be Sentenced in Dog Barking Case

September 5, 2012 Updated Nov 2, 2013 at 7:56 PM EDT

TONAWANDA, NY (WKBW) - On Wednesday, September 5th at 5:30pm, Barbara Creighton will be sentenced, after being found guilty of a habitual dog barking complaint for a June 19th incident.

There have been about 30 complaints filed against 77-year-old Barbara Creighton for her dogs' habitual barking, and Creighton claims almost all of them have been filed by one neighbor.

The complaints have cost Creighton more than $2,000 in fines and even a 1-day sentence at the Alden Correctional Facility.

Creighton's story has generated national attention and she's received support from people all over the country and right here at home.

But all the support did little to save her in front of the Judge who found Creighton guilty of violating the habitual dog barking ordinance for the June 19th incident.
