Arrests Made in Town of Springwater Home Invasion (With Photos)

(WKBW release) According to a news release issued Wednesday by the Livingston County Sheriff's Office, arrests have been announced in connection with the home invasion/robbery incident that occurred on Morris Road in the Town of Springwater on Saturday May 11.

According to the news release from the Livingston County Sheriff's Office:

The victim, a 70-year-old male, reported the incident at approximately 2 p.m., after he
was able to free himself and get to a neighbor's home to call 911. A large response from the Sheriffs Office and the New York State Police that day included an aerial search by the NYSP Helicopter, law enforcement was unable to locate the victims 2005 Dodge Dakota Pick-up, taken during the robbery.

Investigators learned early on that the robbery was committed by three males and continued to work with multiple agencies from Steuben County to Monroe County. The Sheriffs Office worked closely with members of the VCIT Team (Violent Crime Investigation Team) from the New York State Police to bring the resolve to the case.

Overnight, State Police in Steuben County responded to a noise complaint and this lead to one of the suspects, Kyle A Witthoft, age 21, of Gang Mills being located. Additional personnel responded to the Gang Mills Barracks to further the investigation, and throughout the early morning hours personnel worked with members of the Monroe County Sheriffs Office and located the 2 remaining suspects at a home on Westside Drive in Rochester, Alan J Fick, age 36, and Joseph M Macuado, age
23,

Fick and Witthoft were arraigned in Springwater Town Court were bail was
set at $125,000 and remanded to jail on the charge of Robbery 1st  A warrant for the same charge has been issued for Macuado, as he was remanded to the Monroe County Jail on an unrelated Robbery charge. Some of the stolen property has been recovered but the shotgun and the 2005 Dodge Dakota, Blue, NY Reg. AFJ 1510 have not been located at this time.

At the time of this release the Monroe County Sheriffs Office Dive Team is attempting to locate the pick-up that may have been submerged in the Canal system.
