Mayville, NY (WKBW) - The Taglianetti murder trial continues, and the woman at the center of the deadly love triangle is taking the stand.
According to reports, Anthony Taglianetti's wife, Mary, wrote an e-mail to Keith Reed the day before his death, saying "my husband is prone to kill."
Mary Taglianetti also testified about her relationship with Keith Reed, which began online while Mary and her husband were separated.
The two reconciled in late 2010. However, Mary started contacting Reed against in 2012.
In August of 2012, Taglianetti found a sexually explicit e-mail between Mary and Reed.
Mary testified that Taglianetti began sending Reed threats, the last one reading, "I know where you are, I'm deadly serious." That e-mail was sent the day before prosecutors say Taglianetti shot Reed to death outside of his Clymer home.
During opening statements, District Attorney David Foley had stated "The defendant sent several explosive e-mails to Keith Reed from his wife's e-mail account. You will learn that Keith Reed responded, only once, simply requesting that the defendant and his wife leave him alone."
Nathaniel Barone, Taglianetti's defense attorney, countered back, saying "This isn't a story about an affair gone wrong, or a crazed husband seeking justice. This is a story about manipulation and exploitation."
On Thursday, Mary Taglianetti testified that despite begging her husband to stay, he left their Woodbridge, Virginia home the night of Thursday, September 20th, returning home on Saturday morning with a bruise on his head.
Prosecutors say he killed Reed on Friday, September 21st, 2012.
Mary Taglianetti is expected to resume her testimony on Friday. The defense plans to take her testimony to task, calling her "manipulative" and someone not to be trusted during opening statements.
