44 Dogs Found Abandoned in Wyoming County

MIDDLEBURY, N.Y. (WKBW) - Wyoming County Sheriff's responded to a call Monday of between 40 and 50 dogs being abandoned in the Town of Middlebury.

With the help of the Wyoming County Animal Control Officer, 44 dogs were located.

The dogs were Jack Russell and Chihuahua breed mixes.

Sheriff's say one of the dogs was deceased and others appeared to be in poor health.

The dogs were removed and are currently at the Wyoming County Animal Shelter being cared for.

An investigation and arrest is pending.
