BUFFALO, NY (WKBW/Re;lease) - An Erie County Grand Jury has charged 17-year-old, Damone Lewis, of 47 Gibson Street, Buffalo, with several felonies. The felonies include Murder in the 2nd Degree and Attempted Murder in the 2nd Degree in connection with two shootings that happened this past August.
Lewis is charged with Murder in the 2nd and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 2nd Degree from an August 8th, 2012 fatal shooting of Jeremy Thomas, that occurred on Summer Street in the city of Buffalo.
Lewis also is charged with Attempted Murder in the 2nd, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 2nd, Assault in the 1st Degree from an incident stemming from an August 30th, 2012 non-fatal but paralyzing shooting of 15-year-old Angelica Soto on Wood Street in Buffalo.
If convicted of all charges, Lewis faces a maximum of 50 years to life in state prison. Lewis remains in custody without bail.
