AMHERST, NY (BUSINESS FIRST OF BUFFALO) -- Citing a need for a more centralized location, Pacillo's Fitness will soon be moving from its longtime Hertel Avenue location to Sheridan Drive in Amherst.
Pacillo's has acquired the former La-Z-Boy building at 3493 Sheridan Dr., paying $875,000, according to documents filed with the Erie County Clerk's office. The property had been owned by Michael and Linda Denisco, owners of the local La-Z-Boy franchise. The building has 12,600-square-feet.
La-Z-Boy moved into a new building last year, located almost next to door its former Sheridan Drive home.
Pacillo's has been in business for more than 30 years. The retailer sells exercise and martial arts equipment.
Michael Pacillo, Pacillo's president, said the Amherst location will give his store "easier expressway access" for his customer base that includes clients from Western New York and Southern Ontario.
The deal was co-brokered by Arthur Judelsohn and John Mikoley from Pyramid Brokerage Co.
