Toys "R" Us Bans Bottles

Toys "R" Us says it plans to phase out all
plastic baby bottles containing a chemical that's facing safety
questions.
The toy and baby products retailer says it hopes to have all
baby feeding products containing bisphenol - A, or
BPA, off the shelves by the end of the year.
The U.S. government's National Toxicology Program says there is
"some concern" about BPA. Experiments on rats linked the chemical
to changes in behavior and the brain, early puberty and possibly
precancerous changes in the prostate and breast.
Wal-Mart said last week that it expects its entire assortment of
baby bottles to be BPA-free early next year.
