Gasoline Prices Going Sky High

Gasoline prices are hitting record levels. According to AAA, Western New Yorkers are now paying an average of $3.44 a gallon. That's a new local record.

Nationally, gasoline is averaging $3.40 a gallon. This time last year, it was $2.79 a gallon.

Experts blame surging oil futures and a growing belief that gasoline supplies will fall as the summer driving season gets closer.
