OTTAWA - Canadians now have a place to turn to find up-to-date
information on dangerous or recalled products.
The federal health and agriculture departments have teamed up to
launch a website where consumers can search for food or children's
products that are considered unsafe or unhealthy.
It allows web surfers to search by keyword, date, product or
company name, and browse product recalls dating back more than a
decade.
The website also contains pictures of the recalled children's
products so parents can more quickly recognize them.
The launch comes on the heels of a number of recent recalls of
food products and toys, mainly from China, that were considered
unsafe.
The website can be found at www.healthycanadians.gc.ca. (The
Canadian Press) (from Broadcast News Ltd.)
