A year after India Cummings' death, loved ones are still rallying for justice and demanding answers.
Cummings was admitted to Buffalo General Hospital, brain dead and in cardiac arrest, 16 days after being admitted to the Erie County Holding Center.
According to the Cummings' family lawyers, the 27-year-old was arrested after being accused of stealing a car and crashing it during a chase.
While a state commission ruled Cummings' death was not an "in-custody" death, to this point, there are very few details about what may have lead to the severity of those fatal injuries.
A rally is scheduled for Tuesday, February 21, at 5:00p.m. outside of the holding center in Downtown Buffalo.
