Cheektowaga residents can register their surveillance cameras to help police solve crimes

If you live in Cheektowaga and have a surveillance camera, police are looking for your help to solve any future crimes.

If you have a surveillance cameras and would like to notify the police department about them, complete the formprovided by Cheektowaga Police. This information will not be posted publicly.

The information from the surveillance camera registry will only be used internally at the Cheektowaga Police Department and shared with the Erie County Analysis Center to help solve crimes in your area.

You will only be contacted by police if a crime occurs in your area. If something does occur that police have an interest in, you may be contacted by phone or email and asked to check your video for possible asistance in the case.

Buffalo Police have made the same request to their residence in the past.
