Senator Tim Kennedy announced today the launch of a new jobs website that will connect WNYers with employment opportunities in real time.
On www.kennedyjobs.com, job seekers will have access to weekly postings with links to openings throughout the region, and have the chance to sign up for email updates for new postings.
Postings on the site range from public to private sector, manufacturing, business, retail, and healthcare.
"Without fail, the number one call we get from folks in the community deals with the need for assistance and education on job opportunities that currently exist in our city," said Senator Kennedy. "Many times, it's not that these opportunities don't exist, but that jobs seekers aren't aware of how to access them."
The New York State Department of Labor's (NYSDOL) 2016 unemployment report indicated that local unemployment rates in Buffalo and Niagara Falls fell from 5.1% to 4.9% from 2016 to 2017.
