CCS Oncology patients are confused and worried after the FBI moved into CCS offices to secure information as part of an ongoing investigation.  The action was taken as the result of a legal ruling concerning an anticipated order of seizure on behalf of the Bank of America vs Dr. Won Sam Yi, medical director of CCS Oncology.

Last year, we followed Jane Hurlburt, from Sandusky, N.Y., as she was checked by Dr. Yi at CCS's Orchard Park Office.  At the time, Hurlburt was upset that Independent Health was moving to drop CCS Oncology from its health insurance coverage.

Now with the action by the U.S. Department of Justice securing information at CCS offices, we again spoke with Hurlburt by phone about the latest developments and how it impacts her recovery from breast cancer.

There is also a collaborative effort underway to help patients find new oncologists.  It is being put together by Catholic Health, Buffalo Medical Group and Roswell Park Comprehensive Care Center.  CCS patients looking for information can call a hotline at (716) 706-2100 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
