The creator of Buffalo Dining Cards is dealing the deck in more cities this year. Buffalo Dining Cards are a deck of about 50 cards that cost $20. Each card is a $10 restaurant gift certificate. A report in this week's Business First says the cards can now be bought in Rochester, Boston, Pittsburgh, Phoenix and Indianapolis, along with Buffalo. The founder says next year, the goal is to have the products in 10 cities.

The legacy of Mark Twain is helping the Buffalo and Erie County Public Library raise money. A report in this week's Business First shows how the library and library foundation will auction Mark Twain's famous rocking chair, and other items, next month at its 175th anniversary gala.

Business First will host a Power Breakfast next week, focusing on the nonprofit sector. It will be held Thursday, November 3, at 730 a.m. at Salvatore's Italian Gardens.
