Thousands of people and businesses are gearing up for the Red Cross Bash this Friday. It will be a sea of camouflage once again at the American Red Cross on Delaware Avenue for this Friday's 14th annual Bash.

4,000 people are expected at the fundraiser for the American Red Cross this year, which is the biggest fundraiser of the year for the organization. It often brings in $350,000 for disaster preparedness and response.

Communications Coordinator Jay Bonafede says businesses are lining up to support the worthwhile cause. "It gets them tied to a good cause," he said. "Everyone knows the Red Cross is important. We provide vital work in the community. People are always receptive to connect their name and business to that."

Bonafede says area restaurants are also showing their support by providing food and drinks for the event.
