A local mother is hoping her jewelry line will be a popular gift item. It's called Embrace the Difference and was actually created by local mother, and entrepreneur, Robyn Zimmer.

The jewelry is designed with one square connected with interlocking circles. The idea is that one part is a little bit different, but it is still part of the whole circle.

Zimmer came up with the design in honor of her son a few years ago and says it is becoming a well known symbol for people with special needs. "I have a son with special needs. He's 22 years old," she said. "It doesn't matter what difference we have. Everyone has something. So it's spreading a message of awareness and raising funds for many different charities."

$30 from each purchase goes to the charity of your choice. Zimmer calls it an amazing gift for Mother's Day and she's including a special Mother's Day t-shirt.

The jewelry pieces are sold online or at Reeds Jenss stores in WNY.
