Cross-border opportunities for business

World Trade Center Buffalo Niagara is boosting international business opportunities. Hundreds of business leaders from across the area took part in an event last night, which included an educational program called "Accessing the North American Market." Neil Fraser served as keynote speaker. He's president of Medtronic of Canada, a medical device company. He spoke to area business people about tapping into cross border opportunities and utilizing Buffalo's location near Canada. He told the crowd that we must have a regional approach that includes Montreal, Toronto, Buffalo and Rochester.

Shea's Performing Arts Center and Mulberry Italian Ristorante have a new partnership. Mulberry will expand downtown, from Lackawanna, and open "Della Mostra" restaurant, which means "exhibition." The restaurant is at the site of the former Intermission Lounge, next to Shea's ticket office. It will open to the public on January 25.

Dunkin' Donuts is expanding across WNY with two new stores. A Grand Island location is open for business while a new Sanborn location will open by March 1. That brings the number of Dunkin' Donuts locations in the area to 40.
