Delaware North lands Atlanta deal

Delaware North Cos. Inc. has landed a contract to bring food and beverage operations to the busy Atlanta airport. Delaware North handles food, beverage and retail operations at the Buffalo Niagara International Airport, which saw just over 5 million passengers in 2011. The Atlanta airport saw nearly 7.5 million passengers in the month of November alone! Delaware North plans to bring new concepts with local brands and operators to Atlanta. Business First says the company tried for years to land the deal.

Niagara County Produce is looking to expand by adding a new greenhouse and grocery store and demolishing current structures on Transit Road at Millersport. Business First says Niagara County Produce is working with Clarence officials on the development plan. An engineering firm is doing studies on traffic and environmental issues. If approved, the market would expand by 67 percent.
