A $16 million dollar student housing project is in the works in Orchard Park. Business First says developers will construct a 120-unit apartment complex on Southwestern Boulevard to serve students at ECC South. If approved, it could be ready for the fall 2012 semester. This is the second time this year that ECC's board of trustees has approved such a project. Crews are now building a student apartment complex at ECC North as well.

A free advertising campaign is up for grabs for a local startup company. Marketing communications agency Crowley Webb is looking for businesses that are less than 25 months old, who need new creative direction. The winner will get a marathon ad campaign, produced in a non-stop, 25-hour workday. Crowley Webb came up with the idea for its 25th anniversary. They are teaming up with Business First on the contest. You can find a link to enter at, under newslinks.
