Businesses have an appetite for the annual Taste of Buffalo. "The Taste of Buffalo presented by Tops" claims to be the largest two-day food festival in the United States. It began in 1984 and now attracts almost 450,000 patrons annually. More than 200 culinary specialties are served by WNY restaurants. All items are priced between $1.00 and $4.00.

This marks the 4th year that Landies Candies is taking part in the taste. President Larry Szrama has found that the Taste can lead to sweet success, after winning awards the past two years!

"What it's really helped us with is marketing outside the Buffalo area. We use these logos 'voted best dessert' and put it on our literature and emails," he said. "It gives us credibility. People say, 'Wow! Best dessert at the second largest food festival in the country!' It really says something. So it has helped us."

Szrama says he is hoping for a three-peat this year, with Landie's third consecutive award. The taste runs all day Saturday and Sunday.
