A Lancaster warehouse and surrounding real estate has been acquired by a prominent local auto dealership, who plans on using the property for new car storage and other operations.
Basil Chevrolet, through its 5123 Transit LLC, has acquired the former Great Lakes Trading & Distribution Center at 3815 Walden Avenue, paying $650,000 for the 33,160-square-foot building that sits on 5.73 acres of land. Great Lakes closed its lumber distribution operations earlier this year and shifted that work to its Syracuse hub.
The property went on the market in late summer and attracted a lot of attention from would-be buyers, according to the two brokers involved with the deal - David Seider and John Mikoley - from Pyramid Brokerage Co. of Buffalo.
