Western New York - Key Bank is on a growth spurt as it converts 37 HSBC Bank branches to Key Bank this weekend. A report in today's Business First says some ATMs will not be working during the switch over, which includes 26 retail branches in Buffalo and 11 in Rochester. The deal brings $1.6 billion in deposits and 230 employees to Key Bank, which will now have 99 branches in the region. Key will convert portions of HSBC's mortgage portfolio and credit card business in mid-September. Next week, 16 HSBC branches will become Community Bank.

Rich Entertainment Group is ready to make its Broadway debut as lead producer behind the new Broadway musical, "Chaplin." The show tells the incredible story of silent film legend Charlie Chaplin. It will open on Broadway in September. Previews begin in August. Rich Entertainment Group is part of Rich Products Corp., the region's largest, privately
held company and parent company of the Buffalo Bisons. The report says the group provided financial backing and has a hands-on role in off-stage issues from marketing to production.
