Britain's Lush Fresh Handmade Cosmetics has selected the Walden Galleria as the site for its first Buffalo Niagara area store.

Officials confirmed that Lush has leased 800-square-feet in the Walden Galleria and will be opening in the next few weeks.

"We have been eagerly awaiting the perfect location for our first shop in Buffalo," said Mark Wolverton, Lush North America president and CEO. "We couldn't be more thrilled to be opening at Walden Galleria alongside such an incredible range of premiere retailers. It was certainly worth the wait and we think our loyal fans will agree."

Lush offers a wide and unique variety of British-made cosmetic products. It considers its stores to be "cosmetic delis."

The new shop features soaps piled high like exotic cheeses, bath bombs presented like perfectly round apples and fresh facemasks served up from ice-filled fridges. The shop includes a cozy kitchen table, where customers can sit and discuss skin and hair care needs with one of Lush's consultants.

Lush has more than 800 locations worldwide and first opened in the U.S. a decade ago. Besides the Walden Galleria store, Lush will be opening new outlets this spring in Denver, Phoenix and Charlotte.
