A free advertising campaign is up for grabs for a local startup company. Maybe you've seen this mural in downtown buffalo, at the corner of Swan and Main St. Marketing communications agency Crowley Webb put it on the side of their building to mark the agency's 25th anniversary. Crowley Webb is also running a contest looking for businesses that are less than 25 months old who need new creative direction. The winner will get a marathon ad campaign, produced in a non-stop, 25-hour workday.
Crowley Webb CEO Jim Hettich says the valuable prize is something a lot of startup companies simply can't afford. "Since they're a startup, they don't have the resources to support some of the marketing communications tactics they're going to need," he said. "Whether it be a logo, whether it be support of a print ad campaign, whether it be a website; those things are essential to startups. But because resources are always tight, it's difficult to invest in those kinds of things."
Crowley Webb is teaming up with Business First on the contest. The deadline for entries is October 31. You can find a link to enter at wkbw.com, under newslinks.
