Sabres fans will notice some major improvements at First Niagara Center at tonight's Sabres game. A report in today's Business First shows how fans, as well as businesses, are excited for the season. The report says the improvements are paying off for businesses like Noco Energy Corp. The company was looking for new promotions and scored with when Terry Pegula took over the team. Noco worked out a long-term deal to have its green and orange logo painted on the ice at First Niagara Center. The report says several new sponsors came onboard after Pegula acquired the Sabres. Atwal Eye Care is sponsoring the opening face-off. It's the official Lasik surgery provider to the Sabres.
Waste Management is spending $15 million on a new fleet. A report in today's Business First says the garbage collection and disposal company will invest the money on 40 compressed natural gas garbage trucks. They cost $300,000 each. A natural gas fueling station will debut in West Seneca next week. The new the natural-gas station also will be used as a retail site for area bus or taxi fleets that run on
natural gas. Some passenger cars also use the fuel so that should create new opportunities for the company.
