The need for more space and the desire to have some of its operations consolidated, the Cantalician Center for Learning has put two of its local properties up for sale and, at the same time, started a search for a new location.
The Cantalician Center has put its four-building, three acre complex at 3233 Main St. in Buffalo up for sale with a $1.9 million asking the price. The property totals 52,000-square-feet of space.
The center has also placed the former Eggert Road School located at 1350 Eggert Rd. in Amherst, on the market with a $2.4 million asking price. The school has 62,000-square-feet.
Both are listed with Joe Lieber from McGuire Development Co.'s Real Estate Services Group and there has been significant interest in both locations.
"Cantalician is both out of space and they need more accessible space," said James Dentinger, McGuire Development Co. president.
Dentinger said the Cantalician Center has set an exact time table for its move.
"They do need the space," he said.
The Cantalician Center has more than 500 clients it works with annually and has a staff that exceeds 250 people. It's three area operations total more than 185,000-square-feet.
McGuire's Real Estate Services Group has deep resume of working with private sector, medical and not-for-profit agencies. It worked with Medaille College on finding a site for its Amherst campus.
"We brought to the table extensive experience in managing facilities similar in nature to those of the Cantalician Center," Dentinger said.
