The Maid of the Mist tour boats are running despite contract issues. The good news is that the season got started about two weeks ahead of schedule thanks to the mild weather. 10,000 visitors rode the boats on opening weekend even though the Maid of the Mist is facing contract issues on both sides of the border. The
Canadian operation is running, while the Ontario government takes bids from potential new operators. On the U.S. side, a lawsuit was dismissed last month over ongoing operator contract issues.
