A potential developer is looking for an incentive package for the Statler Towers. Long Island developer Uri Kaufman tells Business First he remains interested in acquiring the Statler and using it for apartments, but will only advance his plans to buy the site if an attractive incentive package is offered from the public sector. So far, no incentive packages have been offered to Kaufman. Later this month, bankruptcy court is expected to OK an auction of the Statler's non real estate assets.
Chef's Restaurant is planning a $2 million renovation project. Plans call for an expansion of the Seneca Street restaurant, a new entranceway, a small retail outlet, and a food-pickup window on Chicago Street. Business First says the Erie County IDA will review the project next week and vote on an incentive package April 12th.
A Just Pizza franchise will open later this spring at the Noco express store at French and Borden Roads in Depew. Noco will serve as the franchise owner and operator. Just Pizza was founded in 1992. It has three company owned locations and 11 local franchises. Just Pizza is also opening two locations in Florida and one in Rochester this year.
