A local company is seeing big profits thanks to small products. Multisorb Technologies has become a leader in the field of active packaging. Multisorb Technologies makes products that are used to extend the shelf life of consumer goods, mainly in healthcare and food and beverage items, like the canister inside your medicine bottle. Multisorb is also in electronics and transport and storage industries. There's such a demand for Multisorb's services, that Executive VP and COO Jim Renda says the local company continues to grow, even during a recession. In the past year and a half, sales and employment have both soared. Multisorb now employs 500, 400 in WNY, and ranks 23rd on the Business First list of WNY's Top Private Companies.
