Lowe's is ready to open its newest location on Southwestern Boulevard in Hamburg.
The home improvement store will open to the public at 6 a.m. Friday morning, July 31. Customers will find 117,000 square feet of retail space, with a garden center, and more than 40,000 different items in stock. Lowe's officials say they made an investment in the local community. A store this size represents an $18.5 million investment and creates up to 175 new jobs.
Sisters of Charity Hospital getting the 2009/2010 Bariatric Surgery Excellence Award from HealthGrades, a healthcare ratings organization. According to the report, Sisters Hospital's bariatric surgery program, which is weight loss surgery, is ranked #1 in New York State and among the top five percent of all hospitals in the nation. The study says patients at top rated hospitals have a much lower chance of complications.
