National Envelope is closing its Hamburg plant. The envelope company is consolidating operations. About 100 workers are affected. Some will take jobs at other company plants.
NanoDynamics has filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy. At its peak, the Buffalo company employed more than 100 workers, who used nanotechnology to create everything from golf balls to military applications. NanoDynamics stopped operations last week. It was headquartered on Fuhrmann Boulevard.
Buffalo is getting some publicity on the Travel Channel. Anthony Bordain's No Reservations Rustbelt episode featured Buffalo last night. A large crowd gathered at Pearl Street Grill and Brewery for a screening party. The episode is scheduled for replays on the Travel Channel.
