Back to school shopping is in full swing with classes in session.

Back to school shopping is in full swing with classes in session. The National Retail Federation says the average family will spend nearly $600 this year on back to school items. Total back to school spending is expected to top $20 billion for kindergarten through 12th grade in the U.S. The biggest jump in spending is in the electronics category.
